Art + Architecture Loop – Elementary and Middle School

Community Participation Needed!

Help us create art for the four-mile walking and biking art and architecture loop by making temporary public art!

For more information, please get in touch with staff at 303-344-0481.

About the Art Project:

Elementary and Middle School students are invited to participate in this free community art-making project and will be offered a $5 gift card for participating. Participation is limited to 15 artists for each age group (30 total).

During a three-day camp-style workshop, lead artist Keri Deixler will work with the students to complete an individual artwork to form a cohesive public art installation. Students will create their own heritage flag depicting and celebrating their unique personality, culture, background, affinities, and/or customs. The project will be displayed for three months or more (weather depending) and honored with an official ribbon cutting in late summer.

The artworks will be installed in Bayaud Park, 7700 E. Bayaud Avenue, for three months or more (weather depending) and honored with an official ribbon cutting in late summer (date to be announced). We will offer guided and self-guided tours of the Lowry Art + Architecture Loop for the community to enjoy and get some exercise while enjoying our creative community!
