Silver Ropes Volunteer Corp

About Silver Ropes

In May of 1987, the Lowry Air Force Base Chaplains launched the Silver Ropes program to give the young Air Force men and women enlisted at Lowry the opportunity to engage in a wide range of service projects both within Chapel #1 and also out in the community. The Silver Rope aiguillette was worn with pride by members who participated as ushers, lectors, choir members and in activities throughout the Denver community.

Building on this legacy, the Lowry Foundation proudly announces an updated version of this program called the Silver Ropes Volunteer Corps. Participating volunteers will have the opportunity to support not only the activities of the Lowry Foundation but also important causes throughout Lowry and beyond.
