Star light, star bright,

First star I see tonight,

I wish I may, I wish I might,

Have this wish I wish tonight.

Starbright Fund

Direct investment into the Lowry community has been integral to The Lowry Foundation’s work. Since 2002, The Lowry Foundation has provided funding directly to local projects in education, art, theater, and events run by local organizations. The investments were made by way of competitive grants and donations. The intent of this grantmaking (Community Grant Program) has been to direct funds into the community for projects that will enrich life in Lowry.

In 2025, The Lowry Foundation Starbright Community Grant Program will direct small grants to organizations and initiatives that enrich community well-being in Lowry. Grants of up to $1,000 are awarded to artistic, cultural, educational, historic, recreational, or sustainability projects that clearly demonstrate value to the Lowry community. The Lowry Foundation will make grants totaling up to $4,000 in 2025.

What we look for… in reviewing proposals for funding, the Lowry Foundation looks for projects that:

  • Promote community assets and meet well-defined community needs
  • Promote volunteer and community involvement and engagement
  • Encourage cooperation and collaboration across neighborhood organizations or initiatives
  • Assist nonprofit agencies in serving the Lowry community
  • Demonstrate an ability to leverage other funding sources
