Star light, star bright,

First star I see tonight,

I wish I may, I wish I might,

Have this wish I wish tonight.

What do you wish for your community, Lowry? What future can Lowry have now that the redevelopment is “over”? What can you do to continue to grow and support Lowry?

The Lowry Foundation has been stewing on the last question for some time now. And we think we have an answer – The Starbright Fund. This year, with the help of seed funding from an anonymous, generous donor, we are launching the Starbright Fund to raise money and create partnerships to invest in our community, whether it be capital improvement projects, building social connections, and/or supporting educational opportunities. As we look into the future, the Foundation is excited to serve as a catalyst that makes things happen in Lowry for years to come.

We invite you to participate in our community input process this year to share your aspirations for Lowry, hopes for the future, and what is needed and desired. We will be hosting several community roundtables this year to hear from you. Please email us to join our email list so you can stay updated with events and other input opportunities (you are already on the email list if you receive our monthly e-newsletter). Encourage your Lowry neighbors and friends to email us, too. Working together, we can make many wishes for Lowry come true.

Introducing Liberty!

Lowry Elementary is our first recipient of funding through the Starbright Fund. This year, the Aviators welcomed a Golden Retriever therapy/service dog to assist the kids with mental health. Liberty is a three-year-old fur baby training for her forever home since birth. In her first week on the job, she has filled the school hallways and classrooms with pure love and joy! The school has already seen decreased behavior issues, and Liberty has significantly decreased stress among staff and students. The Lowry Foundation is proud to be able to support community efforts like this!
