The Lowry Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to introduce Jamie Melissa Wilms as our new Executive Director effective July 1.
Originally from Wisconsin, Jamie has called Colorado home since 2009. She has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Public Administration from Northern Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Historical Administration and History from Eastern Illinois University. She has worked at museum and historic sites in Wisconsin, Washington D.C., Arizona, Florida, and New York. Since moving to Colorado she was the Museum Curator at the Lakewood Heritage Center, Director of Education at the Molly Brown House Museum, and most recently the Executive Director and Chief Curator at the Denver FIrefighters Museum. She is thrilled to be joining the Lowry Foundation as Executive Director to help preserve the history of Lowry and help continue to build the Lowry community.
When not working, Jamie is out running, hiking, camping, spending time with friends, and enjoying everything this great state has to offer. She is also a huge sports fan and roots for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Colorado Avalanche. She loves to travel and spent ten days in Italy at the end of February to celebrate her birthday.
The Foundation is so lucky to have someone with Jamie’s talents and experience on our team—especially at a time with so many challenges. Grab your mask and stop by the Eisenhower Chapel to meet her when you are out and about.
